Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Bulgaria Q4 2021

In the fourth quarter of 2021, the performance of Bulgaria's top carpooling and ridesharing apps showed significant variation in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the trends for the top 5 apps on both iOS and Android platforms.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a decline in weekly downloads early in the quarter, starting from 640 downloads in late September and dipping to 334 in early December. However, the app saw a resurgence towards the end of December, reaching 605 downloads. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 15K to 16K, with a notable peak of 17.9K in the week of December 20.

Bolt: Request a Ride also saw a decrease in weekly downloads from 465 in late September to a low of 217 in early December, before recovering slightly to 349 by the end of the year. Active users ranged from approximately 2.5K to 2.9K throughout the quarter, with a slight increase towards the end of December.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a smaller user base compared to the passenger app, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 110 to 193. Active users showed a consistent trend, hovering around 700, with a slight increase to 777 by the end of December.

Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery saw a varied trend in weekly downloads, starting at 128 in late September, dipping to 54 in late November, and then rising to 171 by the end of December. Active users were relatively stable, maintaining around 4.5K to 5.2K throughout the quarter, peaking at 5.2K in late December.

Careem – rides, food & more had the smallest number of weekly downloads among the top 5, with numbers ranging from 51 to 181. The app saw a steady increase in active users, starting from 176 in late September and reaching a peak of 325 by the end of December.
